"Of Mice and Men"

At the end of the book, for example, Carlson questioned George why he was so wretched after killing Lennie. Lennie had been Georges best friends since line of descent and had skilful killed Lennie, when Carlson asked him why he was so sad. No discernment is shown present from Carlson, after George had killed his best friend. The lack of comfort he gave George was also a very unsympathetic move. In some other case Carlson displayed how selfish he is by only thought of himself and not caring if anyone elses feelings are hurt when he took candys play across out and killed it.
